Jere P Truitt

Jere Peek Truitt, 90, passed away on April 14, 2026. He was born May 20, 1935, in Auburndale, FL to James Curtwright and Helen Truitt. Jere graduated from Florida Southern College with a BS in Chemistry in 1957. He is survived by his sister Jeanne Truitt McNeill of Pittsboro, NC, two children, Dr. James Truitt (Cindy) and Judy Truitt McVay (Ron), five grandchildren, Jeremy Griner (Megan), Brittany Truitt Hollis (Jay), Brett Truitt, Jake Truitt Griner, and Brigetta Truitt, four great grandchildren, Lillian Perry Griner, Madeline Rose Griner, James Henry Hollis and Eleanor Anne Hollis. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
