Verda Jean Faulk

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Verda "Jean" Faulk, who peacefully departed this life on April 13, 2026, in Kathleen, Georgia, at the age of 86. Born on November 13, 1939, in Pelham, Georgia, Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, whose generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Jean was the cherished mother to her sons, Michael Faulk (Wendy) and Kenny Faulk (Marsha), and a proud grandmother to Jennifer, Jeanette, Jenna, Rebecca, Robyn, and Cody. Her legacy will continue through her 25 great-grandchildren, each of whom adored her deeply. She is also survived by her brothers, Phillip and Billy Lindsey. Jean was preceded in death by her son, Chris Faulk, and her loving parents, Charlie and Eloise Lindsey, who nurtured her big heart.

Jean dedicated her career to education as a Transportation Manager with the Houston County Board of Education, where she was known for her unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students. Beyond her professional life, Jean’s loving and caring nature endeared her to family, friends, and all who crossed her path. She was a remarkable woman who took care of everyone around her, often putting their needs before her own.

A funeral service celebrating Jean’s life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, with a visitation commencing one hour prior. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made towards the funeral services. Donations may be arranged by contacting the funeral home directly or by visiting in person.

Jean Faulk's legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be missed dearly but will forever be remembered for her unwavering love and the beautiful life she led.
